The following 5 download-able files will assist you in reviewing your districts HIB policy.
Rubric for Reviewing LEA Policy on Prohibiting Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB)- This rubric should be used as an assessment tool when reviewing or updating your district’s HIB Policy. It should be used in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Education’s November 2008 Updated Model HIB Policy.
Checklist for Reviewing LEA Policy on Prohibiting Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB)- This checklist is different from the rubric. While the rubric is a 4 point rating scale the checklist is a 2 point scale that is limited to Yes or No.
Both tools can be used when reviewing or updating your district’s HIB Policy and should be used in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Education’s November 2008 Updated Model HIB Policy.

This workshop is recommended for teachers, guidance counselors, sacs and school nurses.
